Zotrim Facts

What does Zotrim Contain

Zotrim contains a special combination of extracts from three South American plants that have a long history of weight loss. The formulation was developed and optimised through extensive research and testing by an international team of medical researchers. The three plants are:

Yerba Mat GuaranaDamiana

A member of the holly family, a small tree that grows throughout semi-tropical regions of South America and is now widely harvested due to high demand. In parts of South America, in particular, its leaves are used to produce a hot drink that is consumed in a similar way as tea or coffee.

Guarana

A climbing shrub, up to 12m high which is native to the Amazon and is now cultivated in Brazil. The seeds which contain 2 - 3 times as much caffeine as coffee beans, are ground to produce a paste that is now widely used in drinks. From its use by the Amazonian native tribes Guarana has become the ‘national drink’ of modern Brazil.

The widespread use of Guarana is due to its stimulating properties and other general benefits. There is now increasing evidence that it can improve mental and cognitive performance.

Damiana

The Damiana is a small shrub that is found throughout Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Its leaves are collected at the time of flowering and traditionally these were made into a tea.

Damiana has been reputed to have aphrodisiac properties since the times of the Mayans. The Spanish missionaries reported that the Mexican Indians drank damiana tea to enhance their lovemaking. Damiana tinctures have been promoted in Europe for their general properties of invigoration.

What are the side effects of Zotrim?

Zotrim is a food supplement containing plant extracts. It has a very good safety record, with no side-effects reported in the principal trial undertaken with the formuation. Very occasionally, people have complained of feeling nauseous when starting Zotrim. We advise that if you have health problems, you should consult your doctor before taking Zotrim.

As previously discussed one of the three components of Zotrim is Guarana, which contains a small amount of natural caffeine. So Zotrim should not be taken by anyone who is sensitive to and adversely affected by caffeine. However, the amount of caffeine in a day’s intake of Zotrim is equivalent to that found in about one cup of coffee.

Does Zotrim interact with other medicines?

To our knowledge there is no evidence that Zotrim interacts with any medicine.

Can Zotrim be taken whilst I am taking Thyroxin?
